I delight in being a Brisbane Marriage Celebrant!  How wonderful it is to share in the special moments of life.

A natural communicator, I love conducting ceremonies that bring smiles to faces.

I really enjoy those wonderful moments in ceremonies that will live in the heart for evermore.

My passion is to be a really good celebrant!

So what makes a really good celebrant?

Client appreciation of celebrancy service

Every ceremony is different.  There is no one-size-fits-all, no fixed approach.  There are as many and different kinds of ceremonies as there are people with different values, opinions and desires.

The many testimonials that I receive from clients who chose me as their Brisbane Marriage Celebrant reflect their appreciation of the professional and caring approach that I bring to my celebrancy services.

A special Recommendation ... Stanford

 Qualifications and current knowledge

I hold a PhD (doctorate of philosophy) in Education; Master of Education 1st class honours; Bachelor of Education; Diplomas in Management, various areas of Teaching and Vocational areas; Certificates in vocational areas including Certificate IV in Celebrancy, and Certificate IV in Small Business.

As a Registered Brisbane Marriage Celebrant (CMC) I complete ongoing professional development in marriage celebrancy on an annual basis under the Marriage Celebrants Program.

Experience with people

As a Principal Teacher I have taught many students over the years in the business and management areas to diploma level, and in the celebrancy area at certificate level.

As a Celebrant I have conducted many Wedding ceremonies since 2004, the year in which I was appointed as a Registered Civil Marriage Celebrant.  As clients, colleagues and family became aware of my celebrancy talents, Celebration of Life (funerals), Naming and Renewal of Vows ceremonies quickly followed.

I am a member of the Wynnum and Districts Chamber of Commerce and the Bayside South Development Forum Inc.  I enjoy taking an active part in the community development of the area in which I live.

Professional recognition as a celebrant

The letters CPC stand for 'Certified Practicing Celebrant' which I achieved upon the successful completion of the Certified Practicing Celebrants Program in 2008, administered by the Professional Celebrants Association Inc. and conducted over a three-year period.  View CPC here.

I am also a member of the Australian Marriage Celebrants Association Inc.

Professional appreciation of service to celebrancy

I served as President of the  Professional Celebrants Association Inc. for three years, 2006 - 2008.

My service to the membership of the Professional Celebrants Association Inc. for the period 2004-2008 was recognised in a Certificate of Appreciation that lists the following:

Steering Committee Member; Management Committee Member; President 2005-2008; National Council Representative; National Skills Council Representative; Webmaster; Program and Meetings Coordinator; CPC Program Presenter; Newletter Contributor; Mentor.

A good heart, consideration for others and a willingness to share ideas and provide support
I believe, are the most important qualities that make

A really good celebrant!
