Wedding Ceremonies with your "really good" professional Brisbane Marriage CelebrantAll Registered Marriage Celebrants, (also called wedding celebrants) in Australia are bound by legislation , and the requirements of copyright in ceremonies as well as a range of fair trading, workplace health and safety legislative requirements. As a professional Brisbane Civil Marriage Celebrant, I am a member of the Professional Celebrants Association Inc. and the Australian Marriage Celebrants Association Inc. and I am bound by the Code of Ethics of these associations.
Finding and booking the right Civil Marriage Celebrant for you is critical to the success of your ceremony!
Ask the right questionsAsking the right questions will make your wedding ceremony arrangements flow smoothly! If you do not have your official, original certificates, you may apply for certified copies (issued by the registering authorities) go to the Links page for sites that may be helpful in obtaining original documents from Australian Note: All documents must be in English, or have a certified English translation attached. Birth Certificate for Australian born. Birth Certificate or Passport for non-Australian born. Your booking is confirmed when the completed Notice of Intended Marriage noim.pdf is lodged with me, the Conditions of Service are accepted by all parties, and I receive the non-refundable booking fee of $200. The Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged with me at least one month and one day before the ceremony date to begin the legal process. In a hurry? You may wish to apply for a shortening of time once you had lodged the Notice of Intended Marriage with me. This is the fun time when we work together to create your ceremony! I will communicate with you by e-mail (unlimited) and phone to craft a personalised ceremony to express your hopes, dreams and wishes. Readings, poems and special rituals can be included in ceremonies - the choice is yours! Everyone is different and no two ceremonies are the same. I provide three (3) levels of wedding ceremonies: Diamond Heart, Bright Heart and Romance Heart. All ceremonies are personalised and are crafted to suit your style, wishes and budget. We need to meet prior to the ceremony, for both of you to sign the Statutory Declarations on the back of the Marriage Certificate, and to confirm the final ceremony format and arrangements for your ceremony in accordance with the agreed Conditions of Service. Following the exchange of vows and concluding rituals, the bride, groom, two witnesses and celebrant sign the Marriage Register, the original Marriage Certificate (on the back of which are the previously signed statutory declarations), and the 'presentation' Marriage Certificate (this is a legal document that is proof that the marriage took place). Where an accredited translator is required to be involved in translating the ceremony and vows for either the Bride or Groom, a statutory declaration will be signed before the ceremony and a certificate of translation will be signed following the ceremony. As your wedding celebrant, I will lodge the completed official documentation with the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in the State/Territory in which the ceremony was conducted on the next business day whenever possible I would be happy to include your completed application and payment details for a certified copy of the original Marriage Certificate and/or Change of Name with the official documentation that I send to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages. There is no set, 'schedule' or 'industry-standard fee' for marriage ceremonies. Prices and charges vary, depending on the celebrant, location and type of ceremony. One way to measure value for service is to compare wedding celebrant fees for ceremonies with the scheduled fee charged by the Registry Office. Current as at January, 2012, the scheduled fees (including GST) for conducting ceremonies at the Registry Office in Brisbane are: Monday - Friday except public holidays (9.30 am - 4.00 pm booked ceremonies) - $275; Saturday (10.00 am - 4.30 pm booked ceremonies) - $355.
